  • Hedges - Restrictive Covenant

We have a small hedge around our front garden -about 4 feet tall, which we keep cut and trimmed. Our neighbours have just said there is a restrictive covenant in our deeds, which preclude us having a hedge in our front garden. We bought the house about 25 years ago, so don't really remember.

My query is - what are our options? Can our neighbour enforce this covenant (which presumably is between us and the original sellers of the land - a big house developer). There are other houses in the street with hedges, but of course, only ours is next to the neighbours garden.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
