  • HELP - Missing cofreeholder

I am currently in the process of selling my flat - everything was going well until we sent over all the documents for the owner of the downstairs flat (building consists of two flats - one upstairs and one downstairs, we have a share of freehold with downstairs owner - it has been rented since we bought the flat) to sign and now have been waiting over a month. As I mentioned the flat downstairs is rented we have always gone through the man who manages it and not the owner - the owner we have never met or had any communication with... The manager has told us we cant get in touch with him... so now we don't know what to do!?

You should be able to go onto landregistry and buy the deeds to downstairs for a small fee - I think something like £3? This will list the name of the owner downstairs, and possibly their address?
