  • Is it legal for estate agents to use old photos?

We sold are house last year through a local estate agent which has been letted out by the buyer who used the same esate agent to let out the property. We noticed the house is up for rent again with the same estate agents so went on rightmove to discover they are using the pictures they took when we was first selling the house last year which has all our personal things on display (including pets) which quite frankly I think is a cheek. Could anyone advise is this is legal?

I realise copyright would be on the pictures as the estate agent own them and I am fine with them using pitures without our personal belongings on display to the public.

Any advise would be greatly appriciated.

It probably is legal (although a bit lazy of the estate agent not to update the listing by taking new photos). Why not just speak to them about it? As it is a local EA, they will depend on having a good local reputation and you make a fair point about not wanting your personal belongings on display to the public. I am sure you could put your case persuasively. Good luck.
