  • Representing Leaseholder at AGM

Notice of the Annual General Meeting of the limited company that holds the freehold of my father's flat has recently been sent out. My father will not be attending due to his age.

I have power of attorney to handle all of my father's affairs. I have attended the AGM on a number of occasions in the past. This year I have been asked to complete and return a proxy form to attand the meeting. Is completing and returning the proxy form a legal requirement given that I have power of attorney?

    Thanks in advance.
