I’m new to this form so hi!

We bought a house in May, since moving in we’ve received several letters from solicitors telling us we might have paid 10k more than we should in Stamp duty. Suspecting a scam we ignored the first ones, but having now googled it, it seems there may be something to it.

Multiple dwelling relief is often missed and can be applied to houses with an annex apparently.

Our new home is one building, with a separate self contained annex, it’s also complicated by the fact that it has 2 land registry deeds when the house is cut through the middle.

Does anyone have any idea if we might qualify for relief and if so, how might it be calculated please?
