    first of all im new, Hello!

    My mum has her house on the market, and has been told by the estate agent that she has to wait to sell the house, until she finds a new one, is that true?

    im just worried, as i dont want the family to be on the street.

    answers would be greatful!

    Well, it's often good practice to look for a new property, but not put an offer in until an offer is made on your own.

    This especially happens up here in Scotland.

    However, it doesn't at all mean that you'll end up on the street - actually, buying a second property, and then having problems selling the first when there's a big mortgage on it would be more likely to.
