  • Buyer Misrepresentstion

Hi all bit of advise please for a first time seller.

We are selling our flat to up size to a family home (a new build). We've paid out for a despot to secure the plot and also a couple of upgrades to the new build.

The problem is our buyer. They came to us as a cash buyer, then they decided to go sell their property but we were told 100% that the transaction didn't depend on the sale. Anyway one week before exchange of contracts we find ourselves with a buyer who now can't get finance.

We are somewhat annoyed to say the least. Is there any legal redress/come back as they have misrepresented themselves and we wouldn't have taken our property off the market if we'd known their true position or indeed agreed to sell to them. Any comments great fully received.
