    I have recently had a buyer pull out of my property sale due to the mining search showing an old mine shaft in the garden. I have had this checked out with the Coal Authority 3 years ago and they have advised that as the mineshaft is so old - pre coal authority records they have no confirmation how the shaft was capped but have confirmed that the location will have no impact on the property. This is the 2nd time a buyer has pulled out because of this and I fear I will never sell the house - has anyone else experienced this. Living in Nottinghamshire the villages are full of old mines
