As a disgruntled employee I can honestly say that people should NOT sell their property through Chancellors or Anscombe and Ringland as they do not intend to get you the best price. It is common practice for them to hassle sellers in order to get a price reduction. See for yourself that they will call you every week to 'suggest' a price reduction. The way in which they do this is by giving you price related feedback after every viewing, ie instead of saying that the people who viewed the property didn't like it due to it being on a busy road or that the rooms were not big enough they will tell you that the potential buyers didn't like it as they have seen similar properties for less money. They will keep telling you this constantly whilst pushing for a price reduction. You may think that it's non beneficial to them as they earn less money on a property that sells for less, but here is what they do. They simply offer you a fixed price, say £7000 and then will tell you that it's the best deal they can offer blah blah blah. The way in which they operate is appalling and I have seen countless numbers of people who have lost out on tens of thousands of pounds due to the greed and operating procedures at the company. Please forward this message onto as many people as possible who are selling their homes just to let them know how Chancellors, Anscombe and Ringland and Russell Baldwin and Bright operate.
