Had a quick check on their website and no mention of it so would have to assume it is not covered?

If it's a fairly specialist clause then you are probably in a more experienced position to comment.

What would be interesting, now you've raised the topic, is finding out how many different insurance companies actually do have this covered. I'm presuming it's not so common? Or am I misunderstanding the situation?

Well it was something that came up here the other day. We deal with 8 main landlord insurance companies and 7 of them INCLUDE malicious damage by the tenant. This led us to believe that it was pretty standard across the board but it seems it is actually very difficult to find this cover and if you can, most companies will charge extra.

Our 7 companies all include the cover in their standard policy and I was searching around to see if this is something we should be using as a selling point here and it looks as though it is!

Even when customers come to us, they assume it is covered also so it is something that should be made aware to landlords as when they come to claim they will be uninsured with most other companies.

Definitely does sound like a selling point.
