    House prices definitely seem to be continuing on the downward trend. However that does not mean it is a bad time to purchase a house.

    These expectations of further house price drops can be used as a bargaining tool when negotiating over a house so a good deal can still be made. Over the long term a house purchase could still turn out to be a reasonable investment.

    However, always speak to a good independent mortgage advisor before making any decisions.
