      Us brokers will not be far behind, I see John Charcoal laid off 25% of the work force. Most of the sub prime brokers have gone to the wall and packagers are not far behind.

        There was certainly some over manning in the industry in London. With so much private equity funding sloshing around with many agents I suspect that many were running their businesses for market share. Now that many are reporting lower sales turnover a 25% reduction in head count looks very likely - overdue even.
