  • NQT contract and buying

My boyfriend and I are looking to buy a house with the new help to buy scheme. We have seen a house that we like, we have the deposit and can afford the repayments. My boyfriend has a permanent, full time job.
I am an NQT - is this 'induction' year going to ruin our chances of being accepted for a mortgage despite my contract being full time and permenant?

No not at all - so long as your mortgage is not more than 5x your joint incomes (roughly speaking) and you have a good credit score then all will be well.
