  • Help wanted for Expats - Aussie based

G'day. Need some help. We are buying a property in the UK and putting up a 33% deposit on a buy to let basis on a house we are buying from family.
As all our earnings and other property are here in Queensland we have found no bank willing to work with us so have had to resort to a mortgage broker who has come thru with one option. Does anyone have any idea what are deemed as fair broker fees??? Our broker wants roughly 4% of the amount forwarded as we are lending under 100K and this seems to be a 'benchmark' where lenders are not interested in small loans. Any advice or reply from someone who's had a similar problem would be appreciated

Hi i have only just joined but dependant on where the property is you would be looking at a broker fee of 1% to 1.5% and a rate of 3.5% to 3.9% dependant on which lender. Fee's vary from £500 up to 1% of the loan ammount
