I am a first time buyer and wanting to buy my first home. I have lived in a Housing Association property for over 5 year. I asked my landlord if I could buy their property by offering me a discount based on the Government re-introduce "buy your housing property scheme" but my housing association told me they are charitable organisation so they do not sell their properties.

Do I still qualify by getting a discounted mortgage somewhere since I have lived in a housing Association property?

There would be no discount available to you as a result of you being currrently resident in a Housing Association property unless that association was willing to provide it for you in respect of the purchase of your current home.

You may qualify for other incentives though, by using other schemes such as NewBuy for example.
