  • 1st Time Buyer - Agency Employee

I currently looking into buying my first home but I'm unsure if I'd even be considered for a mortgage as I'm employeed through an agency. The duration I've been employeed where I currently work through the agency is now just over two years.

Is it still unlikely that a lender would consider me for a mortage even though I've been in my current employment through agency for this duration?

I think a lender is looking for stable income, though how they factor in agency work as employed or self-employed I'm really not sure - either way, for 2 years it sounds like you at least have a regular proven income behind you, which is a start!

I worked in an agency when I go a mortgage. The easiest thing is to just ask the building society or estate agent.
