    Hi

    A few really basic questions!

If i turn the heating on and turn all but one of the radiators down to zero then will this cost less than if all are turned to 5? i.e. is it the boiler usage or the radiator usage that matters.

other Q is - one of my radiators goes hot even when it is turned to 0. has this been set up wrong perhaps? how can i correct this? it is still hot if turned to 5 also...

    thanks!

    Re: Heating basics

Q1: It depends on the size of your property, but the general idea is that the boiler releases the hot water to the system only when it's required; so in theory you should use less energy while using only 1 radiator ...

Q2: Your Valve is broken. If you insist on repairing it yourself, remember that there is a pressure in your radiator and don't forget to drain down the system

      Thanks for responses.
Would this suffice as a replacement? Mine doesn't look the same, but it is a Westtherm.

      Thanks
