  • The first things to do on the first day of moving into a new house

It is obvious that there is so much work to do before you can settle down in the house that you have bought that you don’t know where to start. And this might make you overwhelmed. The followings are some suggestions you should consider to make this work easier.

    Inspect your new house
Getting to know a new place inside out should be one of the first things to do right after moving to protect your family. It could be a new house or the one that is unused for such a long time that some insects and animals can occupy some corners of your house. The next is inspecting visible signs of damage from water or fire, like checking for plumbing leaks, running toilets, and dripping faucets.

    Secure your new house
To make sure only the members in your family can access your house, change the locks on all outside doors. And with all windows and doors, double-check to make sure they close entirely.

    Check delivered boxes
To each moving box, check it against the detailed list attached in order to know if there are any boxes or household items missing. Then, you will have time to notify the moving crew and check together if they were left in the moving truck.

    Check utilities in the house
If you don’t do this job before moving, this is one of the first things you have to do right away after that. If there are any problems related to electricity, gas, water, internet or phone, call the utility companies like the power and water providers. Take care of the fundamental utilities such as access to the Internet, phone.

    Handle the essentials first
Unpack the boxes that have the essential things and set up the two most important rooms in normal use – the bedroom and bathroom. You are likely to get exhausted in the moving day, so you might need a place to lay your tiring body. Look for the boxes labeled bedding and bathroom that contain items like refreshing shower, shower curtains, the towels…

    Make a To-do list
Take out a notebook and write down all the tasks you have to carry in the next few days, then organize them in order of the important level so that you will not get overwhelmed.

There are tons of things to do to get organized in a new house like cleaning and staging each room in style, greeting new neighbors or changing your address on documents, but the above tasks should be done on the first day moving in to help you get prepared for the next steps.

Figure out amazing tips on how to stage a kitchen for sale, actually they are only the matter of rearranging, not something costing a fortune.

This is the most important thing that must be included in the list of done actions. Indeed, when a lot of people are looking for the opportunity to follow the element connected to this, people have no idea of the reason to work with companies like EMOP. But after everything is checked with them, there is a lot of thankful opinions on their work.

To arrange a comfy nook where you're going to sleep.
For me it's the thing of utmost importance. All the house adjustments take a lot of efforts and time. At the very least you need a place to rest. Take a look here https://pharmonis.org/
