  • How about metal stair rails?

Hi all, My wife and I recently bought a new home which is in a good condition but the interiors are a bit old. So, we are thinking of renovating it. We are not going to completely change the interiors. We are planning on something that will fit the old look of the house but at the same time brings the modern look of the house. We’ll be changing the bedroom and the bathroom first. Then the kitchen- interiors and bring in new appliances. Then we’ll be moving to the hall along with the stair rails. We were thinking of changing the railings to metal from those old wooden rails. As the chances of getting those damaged are less. We are planning of forged steel bars for the same as suggested by my father in law- http://www.patriotforge.com/ What do you people think?

I am not sure how those are going to fit in our house. But I don’t want to decline his suggestion without any strong reason. Do you guys think this is a smart move. Would they really last?

    Awaiting your valuable suggestions.

    Thanks in advance!

I think they can look ace if used in the proper environment...

If you are going for the slightly modern/rustic look though, absolutely perfect choice, and as you say... They won't be getting damaged any time soon.

Let us know if you go for it!
