Hello, I'm an Italian guy planning to buy a terraced house around Stratford and move to the UK. I'm about to sell my flat in Paris where I'm currently living but I couldn't manage to open a uk bank account as a non resident, therefore I will come to the Uk and try to open one but it may take a while.
I am a cash buyer ( money from the sale of my flat and some from my dad) and if I find the right property before having a uk account, Could I possibly transfer the funds for exchange of contracts and completion from the french bank account? How do foreign cash buyer do? Should I prove the origin of the money, which is to say that it doesn't come from criminal activity? Would a receipt of the sale of my flat and of my dad's money transfer be enough? I don't know any solicitor and don't know anyone in London who may recommend one. Thanks in advance.
