  • Requesting vendors to get boiler serviced

Am I being unreasonable to ask our vendors to get their boiler serviced before exchange, given that a) it hasn't been serviced for 4 years b) it will be mid-winter when we move in and c) the vendor admitted there had been a leak recently that he had fixed himself.

The vendor is saying he is too busy to arrange a service and can we do it when we move in, but we don't feel happy with that.

    Are we being unreasonable?

Stick to your guns. If they resist, there's probably a good reason for it - ie, it's knackered and they're trying to push the costs of repair onto you!
