    does anyone know any internet search engines i can use to find conveyaners who operate on a no sale/completion then no fee will be paid to them basis ?

    You could try Google!

    There must be 100's of solicitors out there, that trained for seven years to get qualified, pay thousands for their indemnity insurance, and office, employees and then spend several hours doing conveyancing work, searches etc for people like you who are then more than happy to accept no payment whatsoever!

    If you don't want to pay, then insurance is your only option.
