  • Will the lease hold extension cost the same as long as there are 80 yrs remaining?

    Hi,

Does anyone know the cost for lease extension?

For a property, to extend when there are 90 years remaining and when there are 80 years remaining, will the cost be more or less the same?

    Thanks!!

It will be more at 80 than 90 and variations in house prices generally will also have an effect. However until you get under 80 the amount doe snot increase a lot. Over 80 years it would generally be within the band within which people would negotiate prices for buying a property of that type and value.

You can put hypothetical figures into the calculator at Leasehold Advisory Service : Lease Extension Calculator.
