  • Buying a Property at Auction?

Are you thinking of buying a Property at Auction?

Most people are put off buying at auction as its just too much of a quick process.

You could just miss out on a bargain.

Yes, go ahead and buy at auction.

Don't bother to have a survey or get a solicitor to check legal stuff beforehand and then try and sell it a few years later.....

My clients still manage to follow the usual procedure regarding the valuations & legal work involved in a normal sales process.

It can be a gamble buying at auction because you may not have got a surveyors report prior and if you get unlucky buying a property with subsidence then the insurance company may not pay out. On the other hand it is a great way to pick up perfectly great homes that have been repossessed.

Sound advice would be to have a look at the property with a builder if you know one. Or if you are very interested in the property pay for a surveyor to have a look round prior to the auction (if it is at all possible to do so).
