    How long does it take for a seller to get a certificate of lawfullness?

    I don't know how long it will take but obviously you can't exchange until the seller has received it and your solicitor has been informed.

    I don't know for sure but I've got a feeling that if the certificate is not granted i.e. the conversion was not done to the correct standard or whatever, then I think the seller has to reinstate the garage
