  • Survey Report (confusing wording) help

Esurv have just carried out a survey (basic) on a property I wish to buy however it states
    • there is some damage to the property other than routine lack of maintainance
    • some works of repair and maintainance are required (but doesn't specify)
    • evidence of movement was observed in the form of distortion to opening (this appears to be long standing and non progressive and the likelihood of further movement seems remote)

The office is shut over the weekend. Can anyone shed any light on what these issues may mean? specially the movement one because I don't have a clue.

Re: Survey Report (confusing wording) help

You really need to ask the surveyor directly, as the company is the one recording the issues.

Obviously, it goes without saying these are clear flags to proceed very carefully if you're purchasing the property, and if the surveyor can provide no more information, you may be well advised to get an additional structural survey done.
