  • 1st Time Buyer - New Build

I am thinking of buying a new build property as my first home. I was wondering whether it is possible to negotiate with developers on price. I have read that given current economic climates that developers are willing to negotiate on price.

    Grateful for views and advice.

It is a tough economy at the moment and buyers can certainly get a great deal. You should always negotiate the asking price. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Definately, best discounts probably from the larger builders

Agree, always worth a shot. See how long they have been on the market for, as this will help with negotiations. You may be able to get your legal work paid for, a builders deposit thrown in or perhaps your stamp duty paid.

However, I have found a few developers in my local area that have suddenly experienced renewed interest in their properties and as such are no longer offering much of a discount.
