  • How to value a piece of land?

    Hi Everyone,

I've just stumbled across this forum while doing a google search to find out how to value a piece of land.

I've just finished paying off my mortgage on my end terrace and there's a bit of land at the side which I would like to look into buying. It's very small, you could just about squeeze a garage onto it but there's no road access. I would just like to extend my garden a little.

My google searching has found lots of posts about valuing large pieces of land or development land but I can't find anything about small bits.

The land is housing association owned. The previous owners of my property told me they did consider buying the side and the association told them to get it valued and come back with an offer.

    Can anyone offer any advice?
