      Because they are small and you dont own the moorings.They are cheap for a reason - no one but a fool buys them.

          Brrrr I dont think I could be dealing with that in the colder months!! & where would I park my car? I cant do the school run on the narrow boat! ha

            If a narrowboat is your main residence, how does that work when giving an address for bank and credit card accounts etc? Does it carry any greater legal status than say a campervan address?

              Breconeer I think that is a very valid question. I know that Brian Kilkline used to live on one years ago after he retired from football.
