  • House move by Abbey Removals, Birmingham

This removal company moved us from Birmingham to Stourport in April. Unfortunately, one of the removal crew managed to break the frame and window on the landing causing £460 worth of damage. The owner, Nas, assured us that his insurance company would reimburse us but over 4 months later we have not received anything and the company are refusing to answer our emails. Be very careful if you use this company as it would appear that they do not have liability insurance

My friend tried Abbey removal once, and they were satisfied with the service. I hope your issue with Abbey removal is settled now.

Oh I think that is so sad. You know moving companies are God sent to us, but its a nightmare if any of your goods are being damaged along the way.
I believe moving companies are prepared somehow, I mean they are in this type of business and its a must for them to device a solution in problems like these, isn't it stated on your contract? because in Melbourne, a contract should be signed first before any of the properties or things are even touched by the moving companies, I will leave a link here, just in case any of you here are near melbourne, https://www.melbourneofficemovers.co...movalists.html. Hope you can resolved everything mate.Cheers!

I experienced a damage once but then I found a reliable removal company. I use them for big moves but also in occasions when i buy single pieces of furniture from ebay / gumtree.
